Team Revolution.

Well, Gage and his friends are playing soccer.  They are three.  I wouldn't exactly call it "playing" but I mean, they try.  To their defense, they have no idea what to do.  But again, they are three.  Our very first practice was interesting but impressive (with coach #1).  Gage was running "sprints" when asked, even backwards.  He was kicking the ball, I mean I was shocked.  The team is all boys except sweet little Sloan.  Sloan was not having it at the first practice but held the team together during game #2, ha!  The first game was ok...for the first game (with coach #2).  The other teams coach was basically picking up the kids on her team up and pushing them so their foot kicked the ball into the goal.  AH.noying.  So you know I had to get out there and help.  I wasn't much help but whatever.  Tayleb did score the only goal at the very end of the game!  Then came the second game (with coach #3).  Gage was on the field.  Off the field.  Whining.  On the field.  Off the field.  Playing by a tree.  Whining.  Repeat.  Shew, my patience was REAL thin.  Sloan was the ONLY one that stayed on the field the whole time, go girl!   The team (all of their players) were standing IN the goal the entire game so finally at the end, they stepped away and let Sloan score.   It's quite comical after about the first 30 minutes because lets face it, a 3 year olds cannot focus much longer than that.  Plus, we've had 3 DIFFERENT coaches, did you catch that?  Yep, we are rollin' on through the coaches.  Hint?  Maybe.  So then our 3rd game was canceled today due to rain but we still had pictures.  Guess who didn't show up for the team picture?  Yep.  The coach.  SO....we had a "stand in" coach (#4 by the way).  Lol.  Me, Debbie, Stacey and Lawren were dying laughing, I mean seriously.  Do we REALLY need a "fake" coach for the picture?  So....yall pray for the parents for the rest of the season :)

Here are some fun pictures of the soccer season thus far.

Sweet little buddies.

Summer 2015.

It's pretty sad I haven't blogged since May but life goes on.

We stayed busy this summer.  From Gage being potty trained, Lyla learning to walk and lots of places to visit....it flew by.  Like last year, Gage went to summer camp at Trinity.  He loved it but struggled a few times when I left him.  Its got to be the age.

All in all, we had an awesome summer and a challenging one; Gage is 3, need I say more?  I am so, very thankful for my job and having the opportunity to be at home with our kids but LAWD it's not a job for the faint hearted.  I am a much better mom when I work during the day and come home to my family...MUCH more patient and fun if I do say so myself.  I've said it a million times, being a stay at home mom is THE hardest job in the world.  Here is our summer in pictures.

Made lots of trips to our neighborhood park.

Learned how to use the potty (at 3.5 years old, don't judge.)
This picture was taken a year ago, little did we know it would be over a year later for reality to set it.

Learned how to walk at 15 months (almost to the day)

I love summer!  I love being with my kids.  I also love being a working mom.  I'm forever grateful to get to enjoy all of those :)
