Turtles in a half shell....Turtle Power.

Our little buddy turned 4.  I can't believe it.  It'll really hit me when I am registering him for Kindergarten, ah!  March birthdays are so hard because you never know how the weather is going to turn out.  We have always gotten lucky but of course this year, it was supposed to be rainy all day.  Thankfully it turned out to be not to bad.

Gage's new obsession is the Ninja Turtles.  He has a pair of Ninja Turtle pajamas that he wants to wear every night....sorry, I don't turn around laundry that quick.  He knows each one of their names and tries to do ninja moves with his sword.  It ends up being taken away several times a week because he will hit any and everything (poor Daisy).  The new Ninja Turtle show is nothing like what we watched growing up so Erik shows him the old stuff on youtube.  The new stuff is super violent and seems to be geared towards older kids.  So don't judge, he likes the old school Ninja Turtles.

Where I was getting at with all the background info is that Gage wanted to have a Ninja Turtle Party.  So I went to Party City and bought lots of lime green and navy blue.  I ordered a cake and cupcakes from Target and we had hotdogs, fruit and chips to eat.  We had almost 50 friends and family come to the farm for the Ninja Party.  The kids played, adults ate and we had a surprise guest.  You know my husband.....he's gotta do something big.  I love that about him though :)  About 30 minutes into the party Michelangelo arrived for some entertainment.  We didn't tell Gage so he was a little shocked, even shy at first.

Although I never want to rush our kids to grow up, it's so fun seeing Gage get older.  He is such a sweet brother and will do anything for Lyla.  Most often than not, he is kind and sweet to his friends.  He loves to ask questions and eat junk food.  The boy NEVER eats his dinner.  He will watch TV for hours if you let him but he will also play outside all day when he can.  He is starting t-ball and we cross our fingers it goes better than soccer, haha!  The 3 year old stage was a tough one for us (behaviorally) but so far, the 4s are shaping up to be much better.....hallelujah!!!!!
