Tennessee.

I'm so behind on blog posts but the kids are in bed and the Panthers are playing...so I have time to update :)

The week before I had to go back to school we went to Tennessee with Erik's dad, his wife Treena, 2 of her daughters, Alicia, her boyfriend Zach, and Chase.  We had a great time and went on lots of adventures!  We stayed at the Rabbit Run Retreat in a pretty big house.  There was tons of room and rabbits for the kids to pet...I should say harass.  Those poor things were so scared of Gage.  Erik caught Gage picking one up by his ears...poor thing.  I think there were four of them and the "main man" was cookie.  The owners of the retreat lived right next door and were super nice.  There was a huge basement and a rope swing that the kids loved.

2 of Treena's daughters came, Jen and Sara.  We got to meet all the kids!  Gage loved hanging with Caroline, which is Sara's youngest daughter.  She is ADORABLE.  He also hung out with Liam (Sara's youngest) and they had a great time every night taking baths :)

Let's see if I can remember all of the adventures we went on!  The first day we went on a hike/walk.  There was a trail and we had the double stroller so we couldn't go too far.  The second day we went to this really neat zoo called Little Pandarosa's.  We had been researching fun things for the kids to do that weren't too expensive since we were there for a week.  Erik found this place and wanted to take Gage because they had pony rides.  Well we all packed up and went and it was SO cool.  All the animals at the zoo were rescued and there were animals there that I didn't even know existed.  We say a Zonkey (zebra/donkey), hybrid wolves, all kinds of monkeys, a HUGE porcupine....now I'm drawing a blank. Go figure.  Anyways, Gage and Caroline got to ride the ponies and Chase, Gary, and I saved the $18 bucket of feed from being eaten by the camel.  I THOUGHT it would be a good idea to let the camel eat out of the bucket instead of my hand...yea, not such a good idea.  He latched onto that bucket and would NOT let go.  We were dying laughing.  BUT we prevailed and got it back :)

The cutest little goat I've ever seen....he had surgery :(

The owner was playing with this Tiger like it was a kitten.

We also rented a pontoon one day!  We had it for over 4 hours.  So we drove around and found some places to swim.  The water was gorgeous and blue/green.  The kids had a ball and Lyla...well...she slept.

Anddd.....we went to the water park at Dollywood!  The kids went non-stop...all day!

Our last adventure was at the Knoxville Zoo!  We had an awesome time and made a whole day out of it.  The zoo was huge and had a splash park that Liam, Caroline, and Gage loved!
